Nano Rocks AS

The research emerging from the Group for Electrochemistry at University of Oslo, finds its way to dissemination and new collborative research projects, but we also seek innovation embodying IPR, startup companies, and interaction with industry. This is all regulated by the Norwegian university law and in agreement and collaboration with UiO's technology transfer office (TTO) Inven2.

This web and hub serves companies and technologies founded and pursued by Truls Norby:

NORECS AS was established 2001 and is located in Oslo Science Park where it develops, produces and selles worldwide ProboStat and HumiStat and other scientfic equipment and materials for electrical characterisation at high temperatures in controlled atmospheres.

Jiangyin NorEn Materials Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2020 in Jiangyin, Jiangsu, China, to support sales of NORECS products there and develop and commercialise novel technologies in China.

A major company emerged from the same group is CoorsTek Membrane Sciences AS. It was founded by UiO and NTNU in 2007 under the name Protia AS, and was later acquired by Coors/CoorsTek and got its present name. It is located in Oslo Science Park and with SINTEF Industry in Oslo. It develops and seeks to commercialise proton ceramic electrochemical cells for production, use, or processing of hydrogen and hydrogen-containing fuels and chemicals.
